AEW revealed that Tony Khan will be making another major announcement on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Khan’s announcements about announcements have become infamous among wrestling fans for their frequency. Fans are already beginning to speculate about what the latest big news could be.

There are a few different ways things could go. AEW did not specifically promote a new signing, which has been their mode of operations recently. Instead, it was simply called a “major announcement.”

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed what the announcement could be. It appears likely that the news will either have to do with a streaming deal for AEW, a broadcast deal for Ring of Honor, or possibly both. Right now, most speculation will just be educated guesses.

“On the show, they announced that Tony Khan’s going to have another major announcement on Wednesday, so we’re going to have a week of speculation of what this could be. Whether it could be… They didn’t say a new signing, they said a major announcement, so maybe this is the streaming deal that’s been talked about. Maybe it’s something to do with Ring of Honor, as far as some sort of a broadcast deal for them.

We’ll have to wait and see. He is signing guys for Ring of Honor, so he’s got to be pretty confident he’s going to be doing something with them. I guess that could very well be what it is.”

Tony Khan has been featuring new talent and has signed several former Ring of Honor stars. A television deal for the promotion is likely to come in some form or another. With rumors of a streaming deal coming soon, those are the best guesses we can make at this point. Fans will have to tune in on Wednesday to get the full scoop.
