The Good Brothers’ contracts with Impact Wrestling are set to expire in July. The team recently said that fans could count on them working in New Japan sometime this year. That led to speculation that Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson could be done with the promotion.
The team did several interviews this week to talk about their plans. Outside of saying they are going to New Japan, there wasn’t much else to go on. A recent interview with Lucha Libre Online changed that.
Gallows said that the team was happy with how things were going in Impact. Doc noted that tons of wrestlers from other promotions have popped up and that the show is unpredictable. Anderson said the team was loyal to Scott D’Amore and Impact.
“In the five minutes we left WWE, unceremoniously, Scott D’Amore called us immediately. We’re loyal to Scott, we’re loyal to IMPACT, and we’re proud of the product. We want people to get eyes on it and see it. IMPACT is something special.”
The Good Brothers are former two-time tag champions in Impact. They seem very happy with the direction of the company. Doc and Karl are likely to continue working for Impact, even after their contracts expire.
Anything can happen in the world of wrestling. For The Good Bothers, it sounds like they plan to stick with Impact while also working in Japan. Time will tell if those plans change, but for now, they are loyal to their current employer.
