AEW Criticized For Pushing Wheeler Yuta More Than Adam Page

Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He is also the AEW World Champion and a believed babyface. AEW also got criticized for pushing Wheeler Yuta more than Adam Page.

In the main event of last week’s episode of AEW Rampage, Wheeler Yuta squared off against Jon Moxley. In what was truly a career-making performance, Yuta took Moxley to his limit.

Yuta bled buckets worth of blood and truly showed the world what he can accomplish. While he ended up losing the match, he won the hearts of many and respect from the Blackpool Combat Club.

While speaking on the Jim Cornette Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette criticized AEW for pushing Wheeler Yuta better than Adam Page.

“Yes all these things get pops, anybody that was ever allowed to do this would have gotten a pop but they were never allowed to do it cause it’s f***ing stupid! This is s*** you learn in your first month of wrestling school! They’ve never pushed Page like this and he is the AEW World Champion… Yeah, it’s like a video game – it’s phony in front of your eyes. Of course people are like ‘Well look at that!’ You never see it, and there’s a reason for it.”

Adam Page is set to defend his AEW Championship against Adam Cole on AEW Rampage this week. We’ll have to see if he will retain his title or not.
