Samoa Joe squared off against Minoru Suzuki for the latter’s ROH World Television title in the main event of tonight’s Dynamite. Suzuki won the ROH TV title from Rhett Titus at the promotion’s Supercard of Honor PPV event.
Joe and Suzuki battered each other with stiff elbow strikes and chops that lacerated their chests. Suzuki is no stranger to dishing punishment, but Joe isn’t no slouch either. In the end, it took a muscle buster for Joe to capture the title.
Joe’s former protégés Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt caused a distraction that allowed Satnam Singh to attack Joe from behind after the match. Tony Schiavone noted that Singh was trained at the AEW training facility in Atlanta.
