Leaked Internal WWE List Is Not Accurate Reflection Of Company Standings

WWE has a lot of things going on and it feels like we say that a lot, because it’s true. A list recently came out that indicated Cody Rhodes is now the #2 babyface in the company. We have asked around and found out more about that list.

It was reported that Rhodes is just ahead of AJ Styles as the company’s #2 babyface. Ringside News asked about that list and we were told that assessment is “somewhat accurate.”

That report was based on a listing that “Bruce Prichard and Ed Koskey and John Laurinitis” put together. “Then, every few months, Vince does not like the way it looks and he moves names around.”

The internal list spoken about in that report is “supposed to be the order of who is number one and number two and down the list, but it’s subjective and nothing is official unless Vince signs off on it.” All in all, that list is in no way definitive. Everything in WWE must receive Vince McMahon’s blessing.

We were also told that rosters are “updated daily by the writers’ assistants.” In the end, the leaked list is a good reference, but it is “not an accurate look inside the company.”

WWE has a lot of lists and other documents backstage to help them organize the giant task of creating so much television every week. Cody Rhodes is on that list, and near the top, but his return story in WWE is just getting started so it’s anyone’s guess where he could be in six months.
