AEW President Tony Khan announced earlier that tomorrow’s episode of AEW Dynamite will have an overrun, meaning the regular show is set to extend past 10 pm eastern time.
The show will air starting at 8 pm ET/9 pm CT on TBS. Khan claimed he received the overrun from the network because of their AEW’s incredible ratings as of late. He is trying to make the most out of the additional time provided for Wednesday Night Dynamite.
Khan also announced a dream match which will see CM Punk take on Penta Oscuro. Over the weekend, CM Punk took to Twitter and tagged multiple AEW stars for a potential match on this week’s show. Oscuro was one of those who responded.
“Hey somebody wrestle me Wednesday. @DaxFTR @CashWheelerFTR @WheelerYuta @PENTAELZEROM @KORcombat @TonyNese @dustinrhodes @bryandanielson @TheJonGresham @SilverNumber1 @youngbucks basically anyone except Eddie Kingston. #AEWDynamite,” Punk wrote in the tweet seeking for an opponent and after receiving positive reply from Oscuro, this match was on.
Tony Khan booked this first-time-ever bout to excite many fans. We will have to see how it turns out.
