AEW Dynamite Results for April 13, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show and the first man out tonight is CM Punk! A huge reaction for Punk. Penta Oscuro makes his entrance next, accompanied by Alex Abrahantes. Punk looks unfazed by Penta’s theatrics.

CM Punk vs. Penta Oscuro

“Zero Miedo/CM Punk” duelling chants. Both men stare each other down, Punk pushes Penta, Penta pushes back. Punk with a kick to the midsection, chops back and forth. Penta with a thrust kick, Punk hits a roundhouse kick into an armdrag, cover, 2 count. Punk with chops, Penta blocks a GTS and gets an ankle lock. Punk rolls through sending Penta into the turnbuckles. Punk with a raising knee strike, Penta hits a slingblade, cover, 2 count. Penta throws Punk out of the ring, misses a baseball slide, Punk hits a Tope Suicida!

Penta knocks Punk off the top rope, Penta with headbutts, both men slip off the top rope. Punk is favouring his knee. Penta goes right after the knee, right hands, Punks knee gives out. Punk blocks a right hand, and Punk hits the hurricanrana. Punk with the raising knee strike, Penta blocks the GTs with elbows, Punk blocks an armbreaker and gets the Anaconda Vice! Penta gets to the ropes.

Both men trade strikes on the apron, Punk blocks a Fear Factor, hits a roundhouse kick and Penta falls into the ring. Punk with a flying clothesline, rising knee strike, lariat. Punk calls for the GTS, Penta blocks it! Penta with an enziguri, goes for an armbreaker, Punk rolls him up, 2 count. Penta with a superkick, goes for a springboard, Punk catches Penta and hits the GTS, cover, 1, 2, 3!

Earlier today, the Jericho, Hager and Garcia arrive by private jet. Kingston, Santana and Ortiz drive up and shout that they mean what they say, they will attack them on sight. They leave a beaten Daddy Magic and Cool Hand Ang at the JAS’s feet then drive off.

reDRagon make their entrance for our next match. The AEW World Tag Team champions, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, are out next.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus vs reDRagon

Fish and Jungle Boy start. Lock up, Fish wrings the arm, Jungle Boy gets a headlock, Jungle Boy with a shoulder tackle. Jungle Boy with a hurricanrana, O’Reilly tags in, knees to Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus tags in, boots to O’Reilly. O’Reilly gets the boot up, tags in Fish. Fish with a Dragonscrew to Luchasaurus, sending Luchasaurus out of the ring. Fish with another Dragonscrew to Luchasaurus, sending him into the barricade.

Back in the ring, reDRagon double team Luchasaurus. O’Reilly gets a heel hook, tags in Fish. Luchasaurus fights out of the corner, knee strikes to Fish, tags in Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy runs wild but gets hit with a high knee by O’Reilly. Jungle Boy fights out and throws O’Reilly out of the ring. Jungle Boy with two suicide dives, goes for a third but reDRagon run away. Jungle Boy hits a flip dive onto both of them. O’Reilly with a Dragonscrew to Jungle Boy, Fish slams Jungle Boy onto the apron.

O’Reilly gets a cross armbreaker on Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy escapes but O’Reilly gets an armbar, Jungle Boy rolls through and tags in Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus fights off both men, running back elbows in the corner. Luchasaurus with a German, Tail Whip to Fish, double clothesline to both men. Luchasaurus hits a double Chokeslam, standing moonsault to Fish, cover, 2 count.

O’Reilly blocks a tag to Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus fights off both men, Jungle Boy gets back up, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy hits a double team elbow drop on Fish, cover, 2 count. O’Reilly hits a butterfly Suplex, double team German, cover 2 count. Fish gets a cross armbreaker, Jungle boy gets to the ropes. Jungle Boy fights out of the corner, Luchasaurus hits a big boot to Fish. O’Reilly gets a dragon sleeper on Luchasaurus. Fish hits a Superplex over, O’Reilly. fish covers, Luchasaurus breaks up the pinfall with O’Reilly’s body.

O’Reilly with kicks to Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy with a Superkick, Jungle Boy hits a big DDT, Luchasaurus hits a Tail Whip to Fish. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus hit Thoracic Express on Fish, cover, 1, 2, 3!

O’Reilly attacks Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy with a chair. As the attack continues FTR’s music hits! FTR appear on the stage and reDRagon face them down, pointing at both their tag titles.

Tony Schiavone is with the Blackpool Combat Club. Danielson says they are fired up, Yuta bled with Moxley, they will fight the Gunn Club, Moxley say he doesn’t like the Gunn Club, they are a bunch of goof, they will break their faces open. Yuta says on Friday, the real work begins.

Tony Schiavone is with Toni Storm and Jaime Hayter. Hayter says she wants this match more than Tony Khan does. she says there are a lot of similarities between them, but this is her crowning moment, she will win and breaker her face. Storm stares her down then walks away.

MJF makes his entrance. Shawn Spears accompanied him to the ring. Captain Shawn Dean is already in the ring.

MJF cant unzip his jacket, his scarf is stuck in the zip. MJF attacks Dean from behind while he is distracted. MJF casual unzips his jacket. MJF whips Dean into the turnbuckles and celebrates. Camera catch up backstage, showing security beaten up. The crowd erupts into “Wardlow” chants. MJF continues the beatdown on Dean, throwing him into the barricade. MJF celebrates in the crowd. A security guard takes of his mask behind MJF, revealing himself to be Wardlow.

MJF runs away and Wardlow chases him. MJF runs up the ramp, Wardlow chases, Spears hits him with a chair to little effect. Wardlow goes for a Powerbomb but MJF sends security after him. Wardlow fights them off, this a Powerbomb onto one of them on the apron. More security guards runs down and restrain Wardlow. There are so many security guards that MJF cant get back in the ring. the ref counts to 9, MJF gets a mic and tries to pay off the ref, but he refuses and count out MJF!

WINNER: Captain Shawn Dean!

MJF gets in the ring and pushes the ref. Spears pulls him away as they argue. Wardlow is continuing to fight off security backstage. Wardlow shouts into the camera that this will keep happening until he gets out of his contract.

The Jericho Appreciation Society make their entrance. The crowd audibly sing Judas(the crowd is loud tonight). Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz are out next, Santana is wearing Parkers shoes around his neck.

Trios Match: Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz vs Chris Jericho, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia

Jericho and Santana start, Santana with right hands to Jericho. Jericho with chops, Santana chops back, trading blows, Santana gets the upperhand. Santana with a takedown, Kingston and Ortiz run around the ring and take out Hager and Garcia. Santana with a back elbow to Jericho, straight right hands, Kingston bites Garcia on the barricade.

Kingston with a take down to Jericho. Ortiz with forearms to Jericho, Kingston takes down Garcia on the outside. Hager tags in, flattens Ortiz. Ortiz with a dropkick to the knee, roll up, 2 count. Hager takes down Ortiz, powerslam, tags in Garcia. Jericho tags in, back drop to Ortiz, cocky cover, 1 count.

Santana and Jericho trade blows, Jericho hits a dropkick. Jericho with standing shots, gives the finger to Kingston. Jericho misses the Lionsault, Jericho blocks a tag, forearm, Ortiz with a big clothesline! Garcia tags in and blocks the tag to Kingston, Ortiz rolls through and tags in Kingston! Kingston with an enziguri to Hanger, butterfly suplex to Garcia, tag to Santana. Santana hits the 3 Amigos! Santana his the Frog Splash, cover, 2 count.

Kingston with chops in the corner to Garcia. Ortiz tags in and hits the Leg Drop from the top, Kingston wipes out Hager and hits a Suicide Dive, Santana powerbombs Garcia into Jericho. Ortiz wipes out Parker and Manard who run down the ramp. Kingston tags in, strikes to Garcia, Exploder suplex, Hager hits Kingston in the back with the baseball bat, Garcia gets a quick cover, 1, 2, 3!

The JAS beat down Kingston, Santana and Ortiz after the bell. Judas Elbow to Ortiz, The JAS celebrate over their beaten bodies.

Marvez is with MJF backstage. Marvez is laughing at MJF’s loss, MJF shouts at Marvez, he is the prodigy, the phenom, he doesn’t need sympathy, he ahs money and that makes the world go round. Sterling says MJF has the right to book Wardlow whenever he wishes. MJF says he has the best idea, enter The Butcher.

Marina Shafir makes her entrance. Skye Blue is already in the ring. Big reaction for Blue. Mark Sterling is watching backstage, Jade Carghill is on her phone, not paying attention.

Shafir with a take down, Keira Hogan and Red Velvet are in the Baddie Section, Blue goes for a headlock, Shafir slams her down. Blue tries to fight out but Shafir hits an overhead throw. The Baddie Section shouts at Shafir. Blue goes for a takedown but Shafir with a palm strikes, Shafir rolls through into a triangle Choke, blue immediately taps out.

WINNER: Marina Shafir!

Jade Carghill is still not paying attention backstage.

Hook is interviewed backstage earlier today. Before Hook can say anything, Sterling and Tony Nese interrupt. Nese says Hook was handed everything, Hook stands up and Nese and Sterling walk away. Danhausen appears from out of nowhere and tries to curse Hook. Hook throws a weight ball at him and walk away…

Commercial Break.

Men of the Year and Dan Lambert are backstage. Sky says Sammy and Conti have desecrated this title and his winning streak will increase at Battle of the Belts.

Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks make their entrance, a huge reaction for hometown boy Ricky Starks. Swerve Strickland is out next, followed by Keith Lee.

Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs

Starks and Swerve start, Starks tags out to Hobbs. “Bask in his Glory” chants, Swerve ducks under strikes and gets an armbar, Hobbs with a shoulder tackle, fall away slam. Starks tags in, uppercut to the arm, Starks with Old School while strutting on the top rope. Starks with a shoulder tackle, Swerve with a hurricanrana, tags in Lee.

Lee with a stomp, Starks with chops to little effect, Swerve holds back Starks and Lee hits his own chops. Swerve covers, not even a 1 count. Lee tags in, he throws Hobbs out of the ring, Lee throws Starks out of the ring, Swerve climbs to the top, vaults of Keith Lee’s chest and hits a moonsault tot he outside!

Swerve with a dropkick to Hobbs, tags in Lee. Lee with shoulder blocks to Starks, Lee with a headbutt, Hobbs attacks Lee from behind, Starks with a knee strikes, Lee leapfrogs over Hobbs and throws Starks into Hobbs! Swerve and Lee with combination strikes on Lee, Swerve covers, 2 count. Starks with an armdrag, swerve with a running kick on the apron, Swerve takes out Hobbs, Starks hits a Spear to Swerve!

Starks takes out Lee on the apron, Canadian Destroyer to Swerve, cover, 2 count. Lee tags in, hits the Pounce on Starks, cover, 2 count. Lee and Hobbs face off, Hobbs forced into the corner. Starks tags Hobbs, Taz walks out to ringside! Starks tries to pick up Lee but fails. Hobbs knocks Swerve off the top rope, Starks takes out Lee. Hobbs thrown into the ring post, Starks goes for a Tornado DDT but Lee blocks. Starks hits a Spear off the second rope, Swerve with a 450, stopping a cover.

Hobbs with a Splash in the corner to Swerve. Lee goes for another Pounce, Taz trips him up, Hobbs takes down Lee, cover, 1 2, 3!

WINNER: Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs!

Tony Schiavone is with Thunder Rosa, Rosa barely say anything before Nyla rose and Vickie interrupt, Rose has a cake, Vickie says they are celebrating Rosa world shortest title reign. Rosa throws the cake into Nyla’s face. Nyla accidentally hits Vickie because of the cake in her eyes. Rosa and Nyla brawl, Nyla throws Rosa into the wall, taking her out before leaving.

Samoa Joe makes his entrance to huge “Joe” chants. Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt are watching from ringside. Out next is the Ring of Honor World TV Champion, Minoru Suzuki, making his full “Kaze Ni Nare” entrance.

ROH World Television Championship: Minoru Suzuki vs Samoa Joe

Suzuki and Joe face off, trading blows, and they keep trading blows. Suzuki laughs at Joe’s strikes. Joe keeps hitting chops, Suzuki hits chops of his own, both men’s chests are red and bruised. Joe with forearms, Suzuki with chops, Suzuki is staggered by a forearm. Suzuki hits is own forearms and staggers Joe. Both men face off again. Suzuki laughs, forearm to Joe, Joe laughs. Suzuki with more forearms, Suzuki goes for a running strike and Joe floors him with with forearm. Suzuki falls to the apron and traps Joe in an armbar in the ropes.

Joe has Suzuki in a crossface, trapping Suzuki’s arm as he goes for the ropes. Suzuki gets to the ropes with his leg. Joe with right hands in the corner, Suzuki with a high boot, kick to the chest, cover, 2 count. Suzuki with right hands, then shouts on more time. Both men once again trade blows!

Suzuki ducks under a chop and gets a Sleeper, Joe counters into a back drop. Joe with strikes in the ropes, Suzuki hits a running dropkick. Suzuki gets a Sleeper, transitions into a Piledriver but Joe blocks. Joe with a high kick in the turnbuckle. Suzuki gets a triangle in the ropes, Joe breaks free. Joe hits the Muscle Buster!Joe covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: “And New” ROH World TV Champion, Samoa Joe!

Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt get on the mic and congratulate Joe. They open a present to reveal Lethal give the finger to Joe. the lights cut out… and Satnam Singh appears behind Joe and takes him out! Lethal, Dutt and Singh beat down Joe. Singh has been trained under Lethal and Dutt.

Joe tries to fight all 3 but the number get the better of him. Singh crushes Joes head with a Vice Grip. Lethal hits the Lethal Injection on Joe. Lethal, Dutt and Singh celebrate over Joe as Dynamite goes off the air!
