WrestleMania 38 was one of the biggest nights that WWE put out. It was extremely successful, and fans saw titans such as Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar clash with each other in matches involving high stakes. The night saw a lot of dynamics being shifted, which made WrestleMania 38 to be extremely gripping.
Kevin Owens fought against WWE legend Steve Austin, while Charlotte Flair slugged it out with her prime competitor, Ronda Rousey. The show even saw the feature of celebrity boxer and social media influencer Logan Paul teaming up with The Miz.
WrestleMania 38 ended up being a huge success, and its biggest beneficiary is the Peacock streaming service. According to a report by Diesel Labs, more people tuned into the show through Peacock as compared to the event’s recorded viewership in 2021.
The event saw a 18.9% increase in viewer engagement in 2022, which is a lot more than the increase seen between the event in 2020 to 2021. WrestleMania 37 recorded a 11.5% rise in viewer engagement from WrestleMania 36.
WWE and Peacock also found an incredible 71.9% increase in new audiences on the platform, which goes to show how little an audience subscribed to the event last year. WrestleMania 38 directly led to a 5.3% increase in the Peacock Network’s audience.
With big things planned for WrestleMania 39 already, it seems the company wants to break their own record at getting new eyeballs for the network.
