AEW President Tony Khan is known for a lot of things, which includes his passion for pro wrestling. He might be very passionate in general, but Khan also says bizarre things from time to time. Khan was also blasted for his recent claim by the looks of it.
Tony Khan recently made a very bizarre claim that all the online AEW haters are paid trolls, insinuating that WWE might have had something to do with it all.
To the surprise of no one, Tony Khan was brutally dragged for his claim. This was done both by fans and pro wrestlers alike. While speaking on his podcast Jim Cornette Experience in a video that dropped on April 11th, Jim Cornette blasted Tony Khan for sounding stupid due to his bizarre claim.
“Is there anybody around Tony Khan who could tell how stupid that sounds before he says it, or he’s just allowed to blither on in any way he wants? Of course, they are a bunch of people on Twitter that are not real at all.
I highly doubt that WWE would do that. I do believe that it is ridiculous. I think that’s amateur and childish, and what world are we living in. Like I said, steal a sponsor, take buildings away, sign exclusive deals with buildings, try to poach their talents. Those are the things you could go to Vince McMahon with if they were in a promotional war, and he would sit with you and talk to you about it.”
Tony Khan’s ‘independent study’ of bots targeting AEW is still ongoing as well. It is unlikely the AEW President will stop saying bizarre things anytime soon by the looks of it.
