WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin had a tremendous showing against Kevin Owens during Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. Steve Austin had a long might that many fans didn’t expect. In the end, The Texas Rattlesnake won as well.
Steve Austin then appeared during WrestleMania Night Two, where he confronted Vince McMahon and Austin Theory. He gave stunners to McMahon, Theory and even Pat McAfee.
However, when Austin tried to hit his stunner on McMahon, the WWE Chairman fell back too far against the ropes and couldn’t get into position. The stunner didn’t have any impact at all and fans just mocked McMahon.
While speaking on the 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about Vince McMahon’s terrible botch at WrestleMania 38. Bischoff defended it, stating that it was still entertaining in the end.
“I know people are going to be laughing about the Stunner and whatever but come on man. You pay money to be entertained and having fun is a part of that. That whole segment was nothing but fun. Yeah, the Stunner looked horrible and I would imagine Vince is very angry with himself but hopefully, he gives himself a break because he entertained the hell out of me and a lot of people man. Hats off to Vince, the entire team, and so many people. What an incredible event, in many ways, I think it’s one of my favorite WrestleManias in a long time.”
Mick Foley also made a bet that he could take a Stone Cold Stunner better than Vince McMahon at the age of 76. Regardless, it is now a WrestleMania moment and that is what matters in the end.
