CM Punk was notably absent from this week’s AEW television. Punk has been spending some time working on the upcoming season of “Heels” for the Starz network. The Second City Saint is planning on making his return on next week’s episode of Dynamite.

Punk issued an open challenge via Twitter this morning. The tweet named several top AEW stars. Punk also specifically pointed out one man he did not want to face.

Among those named by CM Punk were FTR, Wheeler Yuta, Penta, Kyle O’Reilly, Tony Nese, Dustin Rhodes, Bryan Danielson, Jonathan Gresham, John Silver, and The Young Bucks. Punk specifically said he did not want to wrestle Eddie Kingston. Fans went crazy with speculation in the comments about who will answer the call.

“Hey somebody wrestle me Wednesday. @DaxFTR @CashWheelerFTR @WheelerYuta @PENTAELZEROM @KORcombat @TonyNese @dustinrhodes @bryandanielson @TheJonGresham @SilverNumber1 @youngbucks basically anyone except Eddie Kingston. #AEWDynamite”

This week’s Dynamite is already looking to be another stacked week from Tony Khan. The legendary Minoru Suzuki will defend the Ring of Honor TV title against Samoa Joe. Hangman Adam Page will defend the AEW World Title against Adam Cole in a Texas Death Match on Rampage. It now looks like CM Punk will have a high-profile match as well.

Next week’s Dynamite takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. Punk will be in the house, and he’s looking for a fight. Time will tell who shows up to answer CM Punk’s open challenge.
