Raquel Gonzalez Expected On WWE Main Roster Soon

Raquel Gonzalez has accomplished about all there is to accomplish in NXT. She had previously held the NXT Women’s Championship. Dakota Kai and Gonzalez became the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team champions after winning the belts with Gonzalez. Raquel was widely expected to be called up to the main roster.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the match where Toxic Attraction, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin squared off against newly reunited best friends Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. Meltzer stated how Jacy quick chopped Raquel, hit her with a spinning kick and then pinned her. He further said that he thinks Raquel is going up to the main roster soon.

Jacy quick chop blocked Raquel. And then pinned her after a spinning kick. And I had to think that Raquel is going up to the main roster soon. I don’t see why you would pin her, you know, I mean the situation is so quick.

Raquel Gonzalez is one of several NXT talents who have recently worked dark matches before Raw and Smackdown. Tommaso Ciampa and Pete Dunne have also been getting a closer look. All three could arrive on the main roster soon. We’ll see if Raquel makes her debut on one of the main shows in the near future.

The babyfaces were able to rally and win after Wendy Choo got involved and caused a distraction. Because Toxic Attraction is such an important aspect of NXT 2.0, this came as a shock. Only time will tell what Dolin and Jayne will do next.
