WWE Looking To Call Up NXT Stable To Main Roster

WWE has a lot of options after WrestleMania and they’ve been known to call up Superstars to the main roster. It seems that fans might see Imperium make a move to SmackDown soon.

Fightful Select reports that NXT stars Marcel Barthel and Gunther have been pitched for a jump to the WWE main roster as early as this weekend. The two are part of Imperium stable on NXT. This Tuesday’s episode of NXT indicated a split of Fabian Aichner from the faction, and now the company is looking to add the stable to the main roster.

That being said, Aichner is not in talks to join the main roster with his former Imperium buddies. Smackdown is the heavily discussed destination for Walter/Gunther and Marcel Barthel.

Walter/Gunther performed under the NXT UK brand before moving over to the United States. From the point of his move to the US, WWE’s plan has always been to bring him up to Raw or Smackdown.

Barthel is a German native; he wrestled in his nation before coming to WWE. Walter/Gunther also wrestled in German-based promotion wXw like Barthel before heading to WWE.

The trio was interviewed during WrestleMania weekend, where they discussed the possibility of heading to the main roster with the outlet. We will see what the company has planned for the them really soon.
