Toni Storm was one of the highlights of NXT UK, where she was even the NXT UK Women’s Champion. She eventually made her way to NXT where she had solid feuds as well. She also considered quitting pro wrestling.

Storm’s subpar booking led to her getting released by WWE and many believed that Storm requested this and was granted it. Toni Storm actually left without giving any prior notice to anyone.

After a hiatus, Toni Storm made her debut in AEW last week on Dynamite. She defeated The Bunny as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament qualifier.

While speaking on the latest AEW Road To, Toni Storm revealed that she considered quitting pro wrestling after her exit from WWE.

“Recently, I planned on retiring from the wrestling industry, which is something I never considered in my entire life. I’ve put my entire life into becoming the best professional wrestler I could be. I lost that part of myself and it brought on a lot of feelings of emptiness and sadness that I can’t even describe. I traveled the entire world to be good at this. Just like Owen Hart did. AEW is home to the best women’s division on the planet. I just qualified for the Owen Hart women’s tournament. For the first time ever, I can truly say that I am home.”

We will have to wait and see how Toni Storm will fare in AEW, as fans are definitely excited to see Toni Storm’s future in the company.
