Randy Orton is a 20-year veteran in the pro wrestling industry and has accomplished everything one would want in the business. Orton has won several World Titles and been part of several memorable storylines over the last two decades. He is also content being a veteran by the looks of it.
The Apex Predator is a sure-fire WWE Hall Of Famer once he retires from in-ring competition. Many fans also wonder just what Orton will do when he does retire from in-ring action.
Being a true locker room leader, The Viper certainly has a lot of knowledge to share with younger talent. While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Randy Orton talked about helping out younger talent. Orton stated that he appreciates being able to help them out with his pro wrestling knowledge.
“It’s fun to be in there with guys that have that passion, and maybe aren’t quite on your level and they’re just sponges absorbing s**t. And I’m in that zone where, oh wow, so the stuff that kinda just comes natural to me and is common sense and I don’t really think about, this is like gold to some of these guys who – I take for granted that, ‘Oh this is common sense’ – not necessarily. It is to me because I’ve been doing it so long. But I’m able to help these guys and they’ll come to me and go, ‘Hey, when I did this, I was thinking maybe I should have done this, would that have been bad?’, and it’s like, I can give them advice, and really know what the f**k I’m talking about. And it’s the only thing that I know what I’m talking about, pro-wrestling. I really do understand that psychology in the ring, and that lightbulb went on for me years ago, and I remember that feeling, and I like to see it go on for other guys, like Austin Theory.”
Randy Orton also recently stated that he wants to have an Undertaker-like schedule at the end of his career. We’ll have to see what is next in store for Orton as he is one half of the RAW Tag Team Champions with Matt Riddle.
