Jeff Hardy is truly one of the most beloved pro wrestlers in the history of the business. He has competed against the best of the best in the industry and continues to shine wherever he goes. Hardy also revealed who gave him the idea for a recent Santon Bomb.
The Charismatic Enigma made his debut in AEW last month and since then, he has been teaming up with his brother Matt. They took part in a few matches already and fans are simply loving it.
Always the risk-taker, Jeff Hardy performed a Swanton Bomb off the wall during a recent episode of AEW Dynamite. While speaking during the Ad Free Supershow Media Scrum, Jeff Hardy revealed that Darby Allin gave him the idea for the massive Swanton Bomb off the wall.
“Darby Allin. I met Darby and I kind of marked out a million times at first. He said ‘hey man, I’m Darby.’ I said ‘hey man, I’m Jeff.’ The first time I saw Darby, Tony Khan, actually first time I met him said there is this guy called Darby Allin. They’re saying he’s the new Jeff Hardy.’ And then I started watching and people used to say I’m the next Shawn Michaels. I don’t believe in that at all. He’s the first Darby Allin.
He found that place and went up there. They all went up there and they felt it. It was sketchy as hell and I was so scared I was going to slip and get hurt. I got two daughters and a wife I love more than life. I was so scared I was going to get hurt, but everything went so smooth. Yeah, Darby Allin.”
Jeff Hardy also recently stated that AEW will be the last run for The Hardys. We’ll have to see whether they will win championship gold or not in the future.
