After Cody and Brandi Rhodes left AEW back in February, a lot of discussions were had about his next pro wrestling destination. WWE seemed to be the most popular place for him and that is what happened in the end. Cody Rhodes also revealed details about his contract with WWE.
The American Nightmare made his triumphant return at WrestleMania 38. He was revealed to be Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent and squared off against Rollins in a solid 20-minute match.
Rhodes would come out with the win as well when all was said and done. While speaking to The Ringer, Cody Rhodes talked about his contract with WWE. Rhodes stated that his WWE contract is a highly complex contract and is multi-year in commitment as well.
”It’s maybe the most complex document or contract ever drawn up in the history of our game, but full commitment, full multi-year commitment, not a part time deal. It’s back to what I used to do every day on the road. These people were wonderful enough to get me a bus so that my family could be with me, and I got everyone, all of them, here tonight. So they bet on me, so I’m gonna bet on WWE, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Now that Cody Rhodes is back in WWE after 6 years, we will have to wait and see how he will be booked in the coming months. Fans are certainly excited for his future in WWE.
