Brock Lesnar is set to face Roman Reigns in a champion vs champion match being hyped as the biggest WrestleMania match of all time. The Universal and WWE titles will, even if briefly, be united and WWE will end the show of shows with one definitive world champion. There have been some questions about Brock’s schedule after WrestleMania.
Fans won’t have to worry, as Brock will be heavily featured going forward whether he wins or loses. Lesnar is scheduled for two out of the next three WWE premium live events. The Beast will be in the house for WrestleMania Backlash and Money in the Bank.
Dave Meltzer reported the news in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Brock Lesnar is a huge draw, and WWE wants to keep the Mania momentum going. The two booked appearances are scheduled for May 8 and July 2.
“Lesnar is booked for two of the next three PPV shows, WrestleMania Backlash on 5/8 in Providence, RI (6,059 tickets out) and Money in the Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 7/2.”
Money in the Bank will be held at the massive Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders. It makes sense to pack the show full of as many major stars as possible. Backlash typically provides continuations of any stories that haven’t fully wrapped up at WrestleMania.
Time will tell if Brock Lesnar goes into those events as a champion. Many expect Roman Reigns to walk out of Dallas with both titles. Brock Lesnar will still be in the picture regardless.
