Miro has been away from AEW since September 30th. No new video packages featuring the Bulgarian star have been aired in weeks. It seems like there is no plan for that return.

The former Rusev suffered a hamstring injury last fall but returned for a one-shot match as a replacement for Jon Moxley in the World Title Eliminator Tournament. Since then, there hasn’t been much going on involving him in the promotion.

Miro recently revealed that he has been living in New York City and working on a television pilot for CBS. CJ Perry also has several TV projects she’s working on. The couple has been busy during Miro’s time away from the squared circle.

Fightful Select reported on Miro’s status today. While the television spot for Miro was already known, there was an interesting tidbit. Fans who have been wondering when he might return to AEW TV might have to wait a while.

“We’re told that this week Miro is in New York working on a television product for a CBS pilot show. In addition, Miro has done some more film work during his time off from the ring. We’ve also learned the former Lana, CJ Perry, has multiple upcoming television projects.

Thus far creative hasn’t been indicated for a return.”

AEW recently re-signed Miro to a long-term extension. Fans who are nervous that he might be going full Hollywood can rest assured that Miro will be back at some point. For now, there are no concrete plans.
