Kevin Owens decided to troll fans in a big way by impersonating Steve Austin last week. He started the show by coming out to Austin’s theme music, wearing Austin’s iconic “Austin 3:16” shirt, on top of a bald cap, cut-off jeans and knee braces.

Owens then used Austin’s catchphrases, including “Gimme a hell yeah!” and “What?” before talking about how he plans to embarrass The Texas Rattlesnake at WrestleMania 38. Owens did a lot more things, including a beer bath with one of the camera crew to end his segment.

The segment was given a lot of props, with even Mick Foley showering praise on Kevin Owens. While speaking with Daniel Cormier and Ryan Clark, Kevin Owens said that he is delighted to have ticked off fans with his Steve Austin impersonation.

“It’s really funny because that’s really not the kind of stuff I’m used to doing. That’s happened before when one of the wrestlers would dress up as someone else, like their rivals. The Miz did it a few years ago, DX has done it, a couple of people have done it and done it well. It was me stepping out of my comfort zone a little, but I figured it was the most impactful thing I do going into the match or confrontation, but it ended up being a lot of fun. I think I pissed a lot of people off, which is delightful.”

Steve Austin is also said to be in incredible shape ahead of his segment with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38. We’ll have to see how the segment will be received by fans in the end.
