AEW Dynamite Results for March 30, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show as Cult of Personality hits! CM Punk makes his entrance for our first match to huge “CM Punk” chants. Max Caster is out next, rapping to the ring, accompanied by Anthony Bowens.

CM Punk vs. Max Caster

Lock up, Punk picks the leg, elbow drop, Caster escapes to the ropes. Lock up, Caster with knees in the corner. Punk with a snapmare into knees to the arm, Caster escapes an Anaconda Vice. Caster with a kick to the gut, wrings the arm, Punk hits a shoulder tackle, Caster catches a crossbody and hits a backbreaker. Caster with knees to the back, cover, 1 count.

Punk whipped hard into the corner, Punk hits a flying clothesline, atomic drop, suplex, Punk misses a knee strike, Caster with a kidney shot, then a fishermanbuster, cover, 2 count. Punk with chops in the corner, then hits a hurricanrana. Punk hits the running knee strike, into a bulldog, cover, 2 count.

Bowens distracts Punk and Caster hits a Coast to Coast, cover, 2 count. Caster misses the Mic Drop elbow, Punk hits a piledriver, into the Anaconda Vice and Caster taps out!

WINNER: CM Punk!

Tony Schiavone enters the ring interview Punk. Punk asks what do we think gesturing for the title means? “CM Punk” chants. Punk says he doesn’t know who the champion will be, Hangman Page or Adam Cole, but before his time in AEW is over, there will be more grey in his beard, more scars on his face and he will be World Champion!

Alex Marvez is with MJF and FTR. Mark Sterling is putting up posters of Wardlow. MJF sas the Pinnacle are going to get some wins. FTR will beat the Ass Boys. The Pinnacle is moving on up. Dax says Wardlow is their friends and they don’t want to get involved. MJF says they are family, but Wardlow used to talk shit about them. Though that doesn’t matter, because when you are in the Pinnacle, you are always on tope.

Jay Lethal makes his entrance. Jon Moxley is out next and he makes his entrance through the crowd.

Lethal offers a handshake, Moxley slaps it away. Moxley throws Lethal out of the ring. Lethal gets back in, lock up, Moxley gets a headlock takeover, Lethal with a leg scissor, Moxley with another headlock takeover. Lethal goes for a Figure 4, Moxley escapes and throws Lethal out of the ring. Lethal gets back in again. Moxley with a slap to the face, Lethal with a forearm, forearms back and forth. Moxley gets the upperhand, shoulder tackle, German, lariat in the corner, then 10 shots in the corner. Lethal throws Moxley off the top rope and lands on the ropes. Lethal hits a Tope Suicida!

Strikes back and forth, double crossbody, both men down. Strikes back and forth, Lethal falls to the ground. Lethal back up, chops, Moxley hits a lariat in the corner, Lethal blocks another lariat but falls to a third. Lethal blocks a piledriver, then hits the Lethal Combination, cover, 2 count. Moxley hits a rolling elbow strike, Lethal blocks a Paradigm shift, his knee giving out. Lethal goes for the Lethal Injection, Moxley counters into a sleeper.

Lethal hits a Brainbuster, then hits an Elbow from the top, cover, 2 count. Moxley counters a Figure 4 into a cover, 2 count. Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift, cover, 1, 2, 3!

FTR make their entrance, wearing Scott Hall style nWo gear. Billy Gunn accompanies Gunn Club to the ring. MJF’s music hits and he joins commentary.

FTR vs. Gunn Club

“Ass Boys” chants, Dax and Colton start, lock up, Colton takes down Dax. Austin tags in, lock up, Austin with a take down, Gunn Club show off. Cash tags in, take down, arm wringer, Austin with strikes in the corner. Cash hits an armdrag, dropkick, big chop to Colton. FTR with combination offence, cover, 2 count. Gunn Club escape to the outside. Cash chases and hits chops, Colton distracts Cash and Billy Gunn hits a big right hand behind the ref’s back.

Cash gets a big back body drop. Austin blocks the tag, stomps in the corner. Austin with a splash in the corner, dropkick, cover, 2 count. Colton misses another splash, Cash makes the tag, Dax runs wild on both men, strikes to both men. Dax with a dropkick, big lariat, cover, 2 count. Gunn Club block a suplex and amke a dirty pin but Dax kicks out.

Wardlow is seen entering the arena backstage! Wardlow fight off security, a big Powerbomb through a table to a security guard. Wardlow enters through the crowd. He walks down the stairs, still fighting off security. Wardlow points at MJF on commentary. A bunch of security guards finally get Wardlow under control and drag him out of the arena.

Dax gets a rollup, 2 count. Dax goes face to face with Billy Gunn, Colton gets a rollup, Billy helps with the pin but FTr escape and hit the Big Rig! Dax covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: FTR!

MJF argues with FTR in the ring. Big “FTR” chants, MJF raises their hands to boos.

The JAS are backstage, Jericho says they have been a revolutionary force in Sports Entertainment. He has had people all over the world wanting to be a part of the JAS. Garcia says they Future Endeavoured Silver and Reynolds. Magic looks around and sees no Santana and Ortiz. Hager say they aren’t here but Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz appear behind a curtain and attacks the JAS with a sock full of pool balls.

They brawl into the arena, in the ring, Kingston has a taped hand and hits a spinning back fist on Jericho! Garcia tries to crawl away but Santana hits a running boot. Manard sent into the steel steps. Santana throws a chair in the ring, Kingston sends Garcia into a chair. Santana and Ortiz goes for the Street Sweeper on Jericho but Hager stops them, Hager takes out all three men. The JAS get the advantage with the numbers game. Hager and Parker hit a flipping neckbreaker. Garcia locks in a Sharpshooter on Kingston while Jericho hits him with a baseball bat.

Jericho whips Kinston with his studded belt. Jericho hits the Judas Effect Elbow on Eddie Kingston.

Tony Schiavone is with Jade Carghill and Mark Sterling. Sterling says their 30th opponent will be Leva Bates. Jade says her 30th opponent shouldn’t be a joke. Sterling says they should go with option B, Marina Shafir.

Bryan Danielson makes his entrance, accompanied by William Regal. Wheeler Yuta is already in the ring.

Danielson gets a headlock, Yuta with a takedown, break in the corner, Danielson with forearms in the corner to little affect. Danielson with a fisherman suplex, controlling the wrist, Yuta gets a monkey flip, Danielson transitions into an armbar. Danielson with a slap in the ropes, side headlock, shoulder tackle, hard strikes in the corner. Yuta powers out of the corner with a big dropkick. Yuta with forearms, into an inverted Figure 4, Danielson gets to the ropes. Danielson with a big kick off a top ropes splash.

Chops back and forth, Danielson gets an uppercut, Yuta counters into a high stack, cover, 2 count. Yuta hits a German, cover, 2 count. Yuta controls the waist, Danielson with a kick to the back, into a Dragon Suplex, cover, 2 count. Danielson with hammering elbows to the side of the head. Yuta escapes Cattle Mutilation and hits elbows of his own, into a cover, 2 count. Danielson with an armdrag, into the Busaiku Knee! Danielson stares down the ref, telling him to check Yuta. Yuta spits in Danielson’s face, Danielson with stomps to the face, then hits a huge Piledriver. Danielson locks in a deep LeBell Lock and Yuta passes out.

Adam Cole’s music hits to bring out Adam Cole and reDRagon holding all the gold. The AEW Title and the Tag Titles have tape on them with Cole and reDRagon’s name over the name plate.

Cole gets a mic, reDRagon bring in a box of party supplies of a couple of balloons. Cole introduces the Undisputed Elite’s championship celebration. Cole says Page and Jurassic Express are not here tonight because they are embarrassed. Cole says you cant steal something that belongs to you. AEW needs a new era. AEW has the 3 best wrestlers on the planet. O’Reilly says he sees a lot of haters, but they are wicked and the ranking down matter. Fish says the celebration ahs been epic, Cole’s reputation precedes him. Their resume can be put against anybody in the industry. Cole says this celebration will go all week long.

Hangman Page’s music hits and he drives into the arena in a white car with bull horns on the hood. Page runs to the ring and takes out all 3 men. HE throws Fish and O’Reilly out of the ring and hits a fall away slam on Cole. Page goes for the Buckshot but reDRagon pulls Cole out of the ring. Jurassic Express and Christian Cage run down to attack all 3 men. Luchasaurus with a big chokeslam, tail whip. Cole ducks under a Buckshot but Jurassic Express throw him out of the ring.

Tony Schiavone introduces the Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa. Rosa says she is the new Women’s World Champion, the first Mexican born wrestler to do that. She said she would put women’s wrestling back on the map, she clawed for this opportunity, she wants to be the face of all women’s wrestling. There are always bullies to bring her down, pillars get knocked down but foundations stay standing. Rosa calls out Nyla Rose, she is here to fight, she will wrestle the best in the world, no matter where she has to go to do that.

FTR are backstage. Cash says people have said they take themselves too seriously. That is because they do, Friday they will become the Ring of Honor Tag Champions. They came to AEW to built a reputation, they will issue a challenge to the Young Bucks to see who is the best tag team of all time.

The Bunny makes her entrance for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Her opponent is… Tony Storm!

The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Qualifier: The Bunny vs. Tony Storm

Bunny and Storm go face to face, Storm with a big forearm, Bunny with a knee, Storm with a snap suplex. Storm with forearms in the corner, Bunny with chops, a high knee, Storm gets a headlock, Storm with a dropkick, cover, 2 count. Storm with an armbreaker, driving knee strike, Bunny sent to the apron, high knee sends Storm out of the ring. Bunny hits a lariat on the outside.

Strikes back and forth, Storm with a big elbow strike, Storm with a big lariat. Storm hits a headbutt, hip attack in the corner, running boot, Storm with a Fisherman Suplex, cover, 2 count. Bunny sends Storm into the ropes, then his a Death Valley Driver, cover, 2 count. Bunny with a back elbow, trust kick, another trust kick, cover, 2 count, Storm hits a German, then hits Storm Zero, cover, 1, 2, 3!

Tony Schiavone is with Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero. Nyla says she is no footnote, Rosa seems to have a death wish and she’ll be the genie. Abra Kadabra, bitch.

Andrade El Idolo makes his entrance for the main event. Darby Allin is out next, accompanied by Sting. Andrade with a corkscrew splash right off the bat. Andrade throws Darby over the timekeepers table. Andrade drops Darby face first onto the table. Andrade drops Darby onto the apron. Andrade misses a running knee and crashes into the steel steps. Darby hits a Oli off the back of Andrade. Andrade catches Darby in a suplex and throws him into the crowd. Andrade suplex Darby onto the steel steps.

The match starts when both men enter the ring. Andrade with a stomp in the corner, Darby whipped hard into the turnbuckles. Andrade with the running knees. Andrade covers, 2 count on a rope break. Darby with a jawbreaker, Andrade hits a big back body drop.

Darby with right hands, Andrade with a big knee, Darby hits Code Red, cover, 2 count. Darby with a boot in the corner, Andrade with a boot of his own. Andrade with stomps to the face, Darby with slaps, palm strikes back and forth, both men floored by open palm strikes.

Andrade takes off his belt, but the ref take sit away, Darby trips Andrade with his belt, Darby hits a Stunner, cover, 2 count. Andrade hits a backbreaker, cover, 2 count. Darby hits a Crucifix Bomb off the top rope! Darby locks in an armbar. Jose comes down to attack Darby but Sting attacks him from behind. Butcher and Blade runs down to take out Sting. Darby takes them out with a big splash. Andrade drives Darby into the Bucklebomb. Andrade hits El Idolo, cover, 1, 2, 3!

Andrade celebrates with the AFO. The AFO attack Sting, Sting tries to fight them off but Private Arty runs down to attack Sting. The Hardy Boys music hits and they run down to makes the save. Matt Hardy takes them out with a steel chair, Matt hits a Twist of Fate on Quen and Jeff hits a Swanton Bomb. The Hardys and Sting stare down the AFO on the ramp as Dynamite goes off the air!
