Drew McIntyre is one of the highlights of the WWE main roster, as he reinvented himself after a hiatus from the company. He was one of the biggest stars during the initial period of the pandemic in WWE. He also is eyeing the winner of a huge WrestleMania 38 match.
The Scottish Warrior has squared off against the best of the best the company has to offer. This includes both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, where he beat Lesnar but lost to Reigns.
While speaking with the Hindustan Times, Drew McIntyre said that he has not been in the World Title picture in a long time. McIntyre added that he will be coming after the winner of Lesnar vs Reigns’ WrestleMania 38 match.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve competed for the heavyweight championship. I was drafted to SmackDown, the eyes were on the Universal Championship right away. I was perfectly fine doing whatever I could to get that opportunity. It’s not like Roman was going to jump and offer that opportunity to me as he knows what I’m capable of these days. I’ll start from the bottom, I’ll fight everybody and work my way up. At this stage of my career, I understand that I don’t need it all now. I’ve just been building my victories, waiting for my moment. We’ve got this huge match with Roman vs Brock, title vs title at WrestleMania, I can assure I’ve got my eyes on who’s gonna win that match, because I’m coming for him.”
It remains to be seen what the company will have planned for Drew McIntyre after his match against Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38.
