Cody Rhodes had a significant role in AEW’s overall development and fans would agree with that fact. He helped the company considerably during its initial stages and put over various talent. Now it seems Cody is moving on and WWE has got big plans for his return.
Cody Rhodes has officially signed a contract with WWE. Ringside News exclusively reported that Cody Rhodes is slated for WrestleMania. WWE is now setting the wheels on motion to Cody Rhodes’ return on RAW.
Fightful Select has an update on Cody Rhodes’ appearance on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, which has sparked a lot of curiosity. Cody Rhodes was not scheduled to appear on WWE Raw in person as of Sunday night, according to the internal script. Expected teases continued regardless. Fightful Select has now provided an update.
Cody Rhodes was actually scheduled to fly into Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky on Monday, and was set to be there this week. We aren’t sure what business he’s doing there, but are looking to get more information. This hardly disqualifies the possibility, as WWE had been promoting Ronda Rousey for the Raw show, who wasn’t set to actually be there.
WWE Raw is tonight in Pittsburgh, a 4.5-hour trip from Cincinnati, and there are no direct commercial flights between the two cities today. Cody has been penciled in for next Monday’s Raw by WWE, but as with anything, things can change. Stay tuned to Ringside News to learn more about Cody Rhodes’ plans.
