EC3 Reveals When He Figured Out Nothing He Did Mattered In WWE

EC3’s career in WWE has been largely criticized by fans as the company has underutilized him on the main roster. He eventually parted ways with WWE back in 2020. He made a claim about his WWE career recently as well.

After his departure, EC3 made his return to Impact Wrestling where he had a brief stint. After that, he made his way to other promotions, including ROH. EC3 is a former 4-time 24/7 Champion and once even lobbied for a future match against John Cena.

EC3 first launched “Free The Narrative” in March 2020 after his WWE release and since then has truly built its brand in a huge way. He is working with Braun Strowman and others, as they have launched the Control Your Narrative promotion.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, EC3 talked about Bray Wyatt losing the WWE Universal Championship to Goldberg at Crown Jewel 2020 in under three minutes. This made EC3 realize that nothing he did in WWE would matter.

“Windham and he has a super creative mind. I know how much he put into creating that character. That was so outside the box, so impressive and so not WWE. It caught on like wildfire and everyone was into it.

To watch him put his heart and soul into it and it’s, like, ‘Let’s have Goldberg beat him in 3 minutes.’ At that moment, I knew whatever I did, it wouldn’t matter. If that didn’t work, then what will?” 

Braun Strowman also claimed that talent will actually fight in Control Your Narrative. We will have to see how successful EC3’s promotion will end up becoming. For the time being, no one is taking them seriously.
