Bret Hart is an iconic figure in pro-wrestling. In 2000, his career ended in an unanticipated way due to a stiff kick from Goldberg. Recently, while doing a virtual signing on Facebook Live, Hart spoke about Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.
During the live signing, Hart reacted to Brock Lesnar referring to him as his dream opponent. Natalya revealed to Bret Hart that Lesnar informed her that he would be his dream opponent.
“I heard that I was his dream match. That was just a week ago I heard that. Always heard Brock was a good worker,” Hart said.
Bret Hart noted Lesner is a legitimate wrestler, unlike Bill Goldberg [who ended his career]. His animosity for Goldberg dates back to the stiff head kick that ended Bret’s in-ring career in WCW.
“I’ve never heard that [Lesnar was stiff in the ring]. Always heard just the opposite, that he looks stiff, but he’s a real pro in the ring. Totally the opposite of Goldberg.”
Bret Hart could very well venture to AEW eventually. We’ll have to see what’s in store, but he certainly realizes that people can picture him in Tony Khan’s company. The full video of Bret Hart’s virtual signing is available to watch here.
