WWE has a lot of plans for the show of shows this year, but they might have to nix one planned match. It takes at least two Superstars to wrestle on the grandest stage of them all, and it looks like Omos’ planned opponent might not be ready in time.

Bobby Lashley suffered a shoulder injury, but he won’t need surgery. It was unknown if Mania was in the cards, but there is hope. He is currently penciled in to face Omos at WrestleMania 38.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was not confirmed that Lashley is cleared yet. Of course, with WrestleMania coming up next week that could cut it very close.

The other match listed is Omos vs. Bobby Lashley. But there is a caveat. Obviously Lashley did not undergo major shoulder surgery, as was feared from his injury suffered in the match with Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, or he wouldn’t be ready. However, the injury was serious enough that he hasn’t wrestled since and is not cleared at this point. We were told this is the match provided Lashley is cleared. If he’s not, then they’d have to change plans.

We’ll have to see how WWE continues this storyline. If the match gets booked then it will likely go down on RAW next week. Hopefully, Bobby Lashley is able to make his return, because it would be a shame for him to miss WrestleMania after all the work he put in over the last twelve months.
