Pat McAfee has become one of the highlights of Friday Night Smackdown. This is because continues to excel in his role as part of the WWE commentary team. McAfee also has experience in the ring with Adam Cole, including a WarGames match.
On the other hand, Vince McMahon is certainly one of the most controversial figures in the history of professional wrestling. The WWE Chairman tends to keep himself in a backstage role for the most part but takes a direct role on WWE television when needed.
After a lot of rumors and speculation, it was confirmed that Pat McAfee will be facing off against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 38, in place of Vince McMahon. While speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair said that he wants to see Vince McMahon beat up Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38.
“I can see Austin somehow getting Pat down and then Vince coming out and beating the s*** out of him, then of course Pat McAfee makes the big comeback and because of Theory he is not able to get to Vince. Vince puts the boots to him, beats the hell out of him, stands back. McAfee makes the comeback on Theory and then they keep it going.”
Vince McMahon could still make an in-ring return at WrestleMania 38 even if Austin Theory vs Pat McAfee is still the plan. We’ll have to see how the match turns out at the Show of Shows.
