WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin‘s contributions to the world of pro wrestling can never be understated. Austin helped usher in the Attitude Era and became a huge part of pop culture in general, even to this day. Austin is also said to be in terrific shape ahead of WrestleMania 38.

It was previously reported that WWE was discussing a WrestleMania 38 angle for Steve Austin. Ringside News exclusively reported that a match was never really in the cards, but a KO Show segment is what will happen now.

Steve Austin eventually answered Kevin Owens’ challenge and the segment was then made official. While speaking on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, Dave Meltzer stated that a mutual friend of himself and Austin recently saw the Bionic Redneck at a training session. The friend was astonished at Steve Austin’s fantastic shape.

Meltzer then added that The Texas Rattlesnake is expected to take his shirt off, and that “there’s gonna be a fight, there’s gonna be a brawl, without a doubt.” It might also last for seven minutes or so.

“He’s training very hard so it’s gonna be more than that. Will he do a 20 minute match? No, I don’t think so. Will he go 7 minutes or something and have a brawl all over the place? I kind of expect that, yeah.”

The Steve Austin and Kevin Owens segment is set to main event WrestleMania 38 Night 1 as well. We’ll have to see if Austin will end up competing in one last match or not after WrestleMania 38.
