Kenny Omega took some time off from AEW after dropping the world title to “Hangman” Adam Page. It was reported that The Cleaner was suffering from several ailments. Those ranged from a bad knee to a sports hernia and even vertigo. Omega was a huge star back in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and he’s carrying on the tradition at AEW.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega was a significant component of the recent DDT and AEW partnership. He is friends with people within the group, according to reports, and the contract includes Tokyo Joshi Pro, which will allow more talent to collaborate.

During DDT’s 25th anniversary show, Christopher Daniels was the one who formally broke the news. He made an appearance and sent a video message to the supporters. Omega has made a public statement about the news on his Twitter account, emphasizing how happy he is with the deal.

DDT, (which includes me), has been the best-kept secret in wrestling for over a decade. It only took 2 of us together to change the entire wrestling landscape from 2010 – now. The next generation is looking to leave an impact. Be ready.

Kenny Omega, of course, has a long history with the company, as it was there that he first made a name for himself as a wrestler. He and Kota Ibushi established the Golden Lovers tag team while together for DDT. Omega has held the company’s tag team and singles titles.

This is only the most recent example of Tony Khan’s willingness to collaborate with other promotions. Obviously, now that he has owned Ring Of Honor, talent will be utilized inside that company, but AEW has also worked with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Impact Wrestling, and NWA.
