John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Since 2017, John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. Austin Theory hasn’t given up on facing Cena either by the looks of it.

Austin Theory has been engaged in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever since Survivor Series ended back in 2021. A lot has happened since then and Theory grew as a character under Vince McMahon’s tutelage.

While speaking with TV Insider, Austin Theory talked about squaring off against John Cena in the future. Theory stated that a WrestleMania match against the Leader of Cenation would be the ultimate cool thing. He also shared some things he learned from Cena.

“The one thing I’ve learned from him is this respectful aggressiveness. Showing you have that respect, but if you have an idea and are passionate about something, you have to use that aggressiveness to go after it. There are little tips as we perform that I take away from for sure.”

Theory also previously stated that he wants to retire John Cena. We’ll have to see whether Theory will end up facing off against John Cena somewhere down the line or not.
