Simon Diamond is beginning his recovery after suffering a recent stroke. Diamond was best known for his stints in the latter days of ECW as well as with Impact during the TNA days. Simon, real name Pat Kenney, currently serves as the director of talent relations for the NWA.

The 53-year-old is struggling with impaired vision. Simon Diamond faces a long recovery. That will begin at home, as he was released from the hospital on Wednesday, according to PW Insider.

“Former ECW and Impact Wrestling star Pat “Simon Diamond” Kenney, who serves as The National Wrestling Alliance’s Director of Talent Relations, was hospitalized this past Friday in New Jersey after suffering what Kenney described as a “mild stroke.”

Kenney, 53 years old, is currently dealing with impaired vision and will have a long recovery period ahead.  He was released from the hospital on Wednesday.”

The NWA is set to hold their Crocket Cup pay-per-view events this weekend. Simon Diamond’s health issues will keep him away. It was reported that Kyle Davis will take over in Kenney’s role.

Simon Diamond made his ECW debut in 1998. Paul Heyman mostly used him as an enhancement talent at first. As stars left for WWF and WCW, Simon became more heavily featured and formed a tag team with CW Anderson.

Simon Diamond then worked in TNA before becoming a road agent for the company for years. Diamond has been with the NWA since 2017. Everyone at Ringside News wishes him a quick and full recovery!
