Kenny Omega took some time off from AEW after dropping the world title to “Hangman” Adam Page. It was reported that The Cleaner was suffering from several ailments. Those ranged from a bad knee to a sports hernia and even vertigo. Omega is having one problem fixed at a time and steadily recovering.

No timetable has been set for Kenny Omega’s return to the ring. There is still at least one more surgery ahead. Omega will likely have months of recovery.

Dave Meltzer discussed Kenny Omega’s injury situation in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Kenny recently had arthroscopic knee surgery. After two and a half months of recovery, he will have another operation. That procedure will repair his sports hernia and is set for late this month.

“Kenny Omega is currently recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. The recovery from this will take about ten weeks. He will be getting surgery to repair his sports hernia at the end of March and that’s about a two month recovery. There are other things he’s also taking care of. There is no time frame set for his return.”

Tony Khan has built a stacked roster in AEW. Kenny Omega’s absence has not hurt too much. Still, the Best Bout Machine would love to be in there mixing it up with all the talent the promotion has added. Several dream matches couldn’t have happened anywhere else will be available when he returns.

Kenny Omega is getting closer to a return. Fans will have to be patient as Omega needed several procedures and time to heal. Hopefully, Kenny is back and better than ever soon.
