Britt Baker’s growth as a pro wrestler has been a massive one since she debuted in AEW back in 2019. Baker focused on her in-ring and character work, which led to her becoming one of the top stars in the entire company and not just the women’s division. Baker made a claim after she lost her title recently as well.

Baker defeated Hikaru Shida back at Double Or Nothing last year to become the AEW Women’s World Champion. Since then, Baker had been booked as a strong champion. However, that would all change recently.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Thunder Rosa squared off against Britt Baker in a steel cage match for the AEW Women’s World Championship. After a bloody war, it was Thunder Rosa who stood tall and became the new champion.

Britt Baker took to her Instagram and commented on her losing the AEW Women’s World Championship. Baker claimed that she paved the way for others in the women’s division.

While others relax & recover on their day off, I’m just now leaving the dental office for the day- bruised and cut up, on 2 hours of sleep after traveling half way across the country. I might have lost, but I gave you all the best damn women’s championship reign that none of you undeserving idiots will appreciate until I’m champion again. This will always be my division. To all those I paved the way for, you’re welcome.

We’ll have to wait and see what is next in store for Britt Baker now that she is no longer the AEW Women’s World Champion. Odds are, she’ll still be one of the main focuses in the women’s division.
