Drew McIntyre carried the WWE during the pandemic era and there’s no arguing that. The Scottish Psychopath defeated Brock Lesnar to capture the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36.

McIntyre has since faced a number of opponents, from AJ Styles to Seth Rollins, but none of the match appeals more to him that a potential bout with the reigning and defending boxing champion Tyson Fury.

The former WWE champion has been pushing for a wrestling match with the undefeated boxer since the days of the pandemic. He once again reiterated his desire to face Fury.

“The only way we’re gonna make this thing happen is with McIntyre and Fury. I will not shut up about it until he frickin’ happens. Trust me, nobody is waiting for it more than me! I’ve been talking about it for years but people started listening to me finally over the past two! I got the [WWE Title], so I could finally get people to listen to me.”

Fury himself stated that there is a one million per cent chance he would make his return to WWE TV. The WBC Heavyweight Champion will be defending his title against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in London next month.
