Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker battled over the AEW Women’s World Championship on last night’s episode of Dynamite. For the second straight year, the two had a bloody brawl at St. Patrick’s Day Slam. Thunder Rosa emerged as the new champion in the end, to the delight of her hometown crowd in San Antonio.

The women destroyed each other. Both were wearing the crimson mask by the end of the match. That was before Britt Baker introduced thumbtacks to the equation.

Thunder Rosa got the three count with a Fire Thunder Driver on the tacks. Referee Aubrey Edwards wasn’t even safe, as she had to count the championship pinfall on the tacks. Edwards shared a photo of the aftermath on Twitter.

“Pro tip: don’t count pins in a pile of tacks #AEWDynamite”

Aubrey Edwards’ elbow and forearm were covered in holes from the tacks. Hopefully next time she will try and position herself better. Still, it was a cool moment that added to the chaos of the match.

Aubrey Edwards has worked some classic matches in AEW. Edwards is not afraid to get a little dirty if she needs to. At least she came out of it in better shape than Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa.
