Drake Wuertz is a former WWE referee who lost his job because he supported Qanon-aligned conspiracy theories. Wuertz even no-showed NXT events to rant at school board meetings about conspiracy theories. Yesterday, Ringside News published a list of several pro wrestlers who had donated to Wuertz’s campaign based on a public records search.
One of the names on that list was Christopher Gerard. Wrestling fans know Gerard as Oney Lorcan from WWE and Biff Busick on the independent circuit. Many were disappointed to see his name on the list.
Today, Biff Busick took to Reddit to set the record straight. Busick noted that he just thought he was giving a loan. The former WWE superstar said he had no idea that it was going to Drake Wuertz’ campaign and that he does not support the fringe QAnon conspiracy movement.
“A wrestling news site article was brought to my attention online. I am not a political person. I do not support Qanon or their beliefs. I thought I was just lending money and I did not knowingly donate to Drake’s campaign. I know how ppl with those beliefs can hurt people and I don’t want to do that to anyone.
Sorry, BIFF”
Biff Busick was forthcoming and honest with his response. Setting the record straight right away got a very positive response from fans on the Reddit thread. Drake Wuertz will have to continue his campaign without Busick’s support.
For the record, Karrion Kross, Matt Riddle, Elias, Bobby Fish, and Jimmy Jacobs, who also donated to Drake Wuertz’s political campaign, have remained silent on the matter.
