The Undertaker will forever be regarded as a legend in the world of professional wrestling. His contributions to the business will never be forgotten as he has given 30 years of his life and sacrificed his body. Sheamus also commented on The Undertaker retiring as well.
The Deadman has competed against the best of the best the pro wrestling world had to offer over his three-decade-long career. He has always managed to put over the unlikeliest of opponents in all kinds of matches as well.
The Phenom retired after squaring off against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in a Boneyard match. While speaking to The Dallas Morning News, Sheamus talked about The Undertaker retiring from professional wrestling. Sheamus believes The Undertaker retired as he could no longer perform at the level he wanted.
”He’s been there forever. I’ve seen him limp into buildings, and then an hour later, two hours later he’s doing all sorts of crazy dives and jumping around like he’s 16 years old. He was a guy, any time the bell went on, he made sure he was in the best shape that he could possibly be and he always put on the best performance he possibly could. That’s why I think he retired – there’s still part of him that would love to keep going, but I think he knows that he can’t perform at the level he set for himself.”
The Phenom is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year, in what is certainly shaping up to be one of the best Hall Of Fame ceremonies in recent memory. We will have to wait and see who the remaining WWE Hall Of Fame inductees will be.
