Fans Call For AEW To Sign Candice LeRae As Her WWE Contract Runs Up

Candice LeRae was one of the mainstays of the women’s division in Triple H’s NXT. LeRae gave excellent matches and had a great rivalry with former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai. Her contract is running up and it’s unknown if she will join Johnny Gargano on the free agency market.

Candice became a parent when she gave birth to her and husband Johnny Gargano’s child last month. The two named their child Quill. She’s been out of active competition since then.

It seems that Candice will be parting ways with WWE as her contract is about to expire this Spring. Fightful Select reported that the two sides haven’t agreed to a new contract thus far. It is unknown if Candice decides to extend her contract.

Many fans took to Twitter where they voiced their opinion. A number of those fans wish for Candice LeRae’s AEW arrival. One particular fan tweeted out to say, “if aew loses Cody but gains swerve, Candice, Keith Lee, Johnny Gargano and Hardy I see that as an absolute win.”

Candice made her televised in-ring debut for WWE in 2017, A year later, she began working for the promotion full time as part of her deal with the multi-billion dollar conglomerate. She is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, a title she won with Indi Hartwell.
