Bronson Reed was released by WWE last year simply because the company believed Reed simply didn’t fit the new vision of the brand. Before he was let go, WWE had plans for Bronson Reed on the main roster. He also addressed comparisons to a WWE Hall Of Famer as well recently.
Since getting released by WWE, Bronson Reed changed his name to JONAH and has been on a roller in the indie scene. He also competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling, a place where Vader also ventured.
WWE officially announced that pro wrestling legend Vader will be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony posthumously. While speaking on CALLIHAN UNCENSORED, JONAH addressed being compared to Vader and said that the comparisons mean a lot to him.
“Right now in my career, that’s sort of what I’m trying to embody myself off of, is Bam Bam Bigelow or Vader. So to have those comparisons, it means a lot to me. And that’s what I’m trying to do, and I’m hoping that I can bring that back to professional wrestling. I think there are definitely some very talented big men in this sport at the moment, but maybe not ones that have that vibe, that have that little something about them that makes you have to watch them.”
JONAH also recently had to pull out of a match with Lance Archer due to unforeseen circumstances concerning bad weather. We’ll have to see what the future holds for JONAH, because he is determined to make an impact in the pro wrestling world.
