Samoa Joe’s accomplishments in the world of professional wrestling speak for themselves. He has competed in numerous companies such as ROH, TNA and more as he honed his craft over the years. It seems Joe explained how he’s still in the WWE 2K22 game.

Samoa Joe had a great time in NXT during his two outings on the black and gold brand and the WWE main roster. Unfortunately, he was fired on two separate occasions which certainly baffled fans and pro wrestlers alike.

Since his latest WWE release, fans have been wondering what is next for Samoa Joe’s pro wrestling career. While speaking on Kinda Funny Games Daily, The Samoan Submission explained how he is still in the WWE 2K22 game despite being released by WWE.

“Built into our contract is a licensing agreement. I am Samoa Joe, that’s my trademark that I own. For me, it’s a little different than most guys because I have a licensing agreement and we negotiated our price based off that.

It’s essentially the same type of thing with guys who don’t have their own name. When you leave there, that character is still there for their properties.”

Samoa Joe also recently made it clear he is not ruling out signing with AEW. Jim Cornette previously stated that he believes Samoa Joe will be a huge asset to AEW. We will have to wait and see Joe makes his way to AEW as well.
