Ring Of Honor shocked the pro wrestling world to its core when it announced that it was going to undergo a reimagining last year. This led to the company releasing all of its talents at the same time. It seems Booker T doubts Tony Khan’s ability to book ROH like he did with AEW.
AEW President Tony Khan officially announced on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite that he has purchased the entirety of Ring Of Honor. Since then, his purchase of the company has become one of the biggest topics of discussion in the pro wrestling world.
While speaking on his Hall Of Fame podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T talked about Tony Khan purchasing Ring of Honor. Booker T expressed his doubts over Khan booking ROH as well as AEW.
“Well, I don’t understand the idea of Tony Khan saying he’s going to book the shows at ROH. Because you’ve already got a company over here. Why would you want to do something like that, first of all? There again, it’s just going to be us doing shows. Why do something like that when you’ve got a company over here that does shows? I don’t get it, I don’t understand it. But maybe here in the future, we will all know exactly what the hell is going on.”
Tony Khan will also personally book the ROH Supercard of Honor event next month. CM Punk also made it clear he is thankful Tony Khan purchased Ring Of Honor and not Vince McMahon. It remains to be seen if ROH will thrive under Tony Khan’s leadership or not.
