Cody Rhodes helped AEW significantly, both inside the squared circle and backstage as well. It is not a stretch to say he helped build AEW into what it is right now over the past three years. It seems the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW is crucial for Cody Rhodes’ WWE future.

Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi departed from AEW last month and even now, fans and pro wrestlers alike continue to discuss their departure and what they will do next.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Cody Rhodes’ WWE status and stated that it largely depends on whether he will be on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW or not, which will take place in Jacksonville.

”If he’s on the show Monday you already know. If he’s not on the show Monday and they don’t do with Seth whatsoever, that means they’re still talking and hopefully doing something. If they start Rollins on with a new feud with somebody different, that tells you that Cody Rhodes is probably not at WrestleMania or they’re playing hardball back with him. After Monday’s show, we’re gonna have a better idea.”

WWE also initially planned for Cody Rhodes to compete against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38, but that is up in the air right now. The ball is currently in Cody Rhodes’ court as it depends on him what he will do in the end, so it remains to be seen whether Rhodes will make his way to WWE again or not.
