Cody Rhodes’ name is in the mix for WrestleMania even though he has been removed from any boards and documentation for the show of shows. Monday’s RAW is seemingly WWE’s last chance to bring in the American Nightmare and that Jacksonville date is coming up soon.
WWE would like to bring Cody Rhodes back in Jacksonville for obvious reasons. After all, Rhodes wrestled a majority of his matches over the past three years in Daily’s Place. The fact is that a deal is not finalized at this point.
We exclusively reported what the creative team was told about Cody Rhodes’ status. As of Saturday morning, nothing has outwardly changed in that regard.
When asking about Cody Rhodes’ current status for Monday’s RAW, a tenured member of the creative team told us that “no one has been talking about it.” We were additionally told that “Vince makes decisions on RAW, tells Bruce Prichard and Ed Koskey and John Laurinaitis, and the rest of the team stays in the dark until Mondays.
It is also worth noting that we were also told that “RAW is the worst mess it’s ever been.” So, take that as you will. Anything can change in Vince McMahon’s company, because he is notorious for changing plans for the longest running weekly episodic television show in history hours before show time.
It would be nice to imagine that Cody Rhodes will make his big WWE return on Monday, but that information is not flowing freely. As of this writing, the word is that Cody Rhodes’ WWE return hit some sort of snag in the final stages and they have seemingly moved on.
