Ever since Matt Riddle signed with WWE, he has been one of the mainstays of WWE television, be it in NXT or the main roster. His in-ring skills are one of the best in the company and he already has a good fan following. Prior to making his main roster debut, Matt Riddle mentioned on numerous occasions that he wanted to face Brock Lesnar and retire him for good.
Matt Riddle and Brock Lesnar had a confrontation backstage during the 2020 Royal Rumble, where Brock Lesnar said he never wants to work with Riddle. Last year, Matt Riddle stated that he really wants to face off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania someday.
Riddle did technically get his wish as he got to face Brock Lesnar at the WWE Title Elimination Chamber match last month. While speaking to Adam’s Apple, Matt Riddle made it clear he has not given up hope on facing The Beast Incarnate in a singles match.
”I really want that one-on-one match with Brock [Lesnar] that’d be good, but there’s a lot of talent out there. You’ve got the Edges, me and Randy are partners but you never know, we might wrestle one day. There’s a lot.”
Booker T also believes Matt Riddle will be a world champion in WWE. Riddle recently won the RAW Tag Team Titles with Randy Orton, so it is unlikely he will face off against Brock Lesnar in the foreseeable future.
