Dolph Ziggler is considered as one of the top in-ring workers in the company, making sure to give it his all and make any opponent look good in the process. However, many fans have said over the years that Ziggler is underrated and has not been utilized to the best of his potential. It seems his latest title win is a transitional one.

As seen on this week’s episode of NXT Roadblock, Dolph Ziggler shockingly defeated Bron Breakker to become the new NXT Champion. This garnered a mixed response from fans as well.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Dolph Ziggler winning the NXT Championship. Meltzer stated that the title reign will be transitional and was done in order to set up Breakker winning it at a big show.

”Yeah but it’s only temporary, because I’ve seen people go ‘Oh my god they put the Title on a 41-year-old guy in developmental. It’s just to set up Bron Breakker winning the title on a big show.”
