Matt Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in various promotions in his career. He is currently under his Big Money Matt persona in AEW and remains a highlight. It seems he hinted at turning babyface as well recently.
Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy together formed The Hardy Boyz and are still regarded as one of the best tag teams in pro wrestling history. They are undoubtedly one of the most decorated tag teams in the business as they have won tag team gold in several companies.
For the past few weeks, Matt Hardy has been teasing changes in his character as well. This became even more apparent after AEW Revolution, where he lost to Sting, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara in a Tornado Trios match.
Matt Hardy recently took to Twitter and seemingly hinted at turning babyface after his heel actions over the past few months.
“I became wrapped up in making as much money as I could in @AEW, much like those who came before me. I took advantage of young men who looked up to me & I failed them. On #AEWDynamite, I promise to make a change & be better. It’s time for me to get back to being Matt Hardy.”
As reported earlier, Jeff Hardy is expected to make his debut on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, so it seems Matt Hardy turning heel to team up with Jeff is certainly a possibility.
