Sw3rve appeared on the entrance ramp to sign the contract. He said he would have dream matches and win titles in due time. Fans kept chanting for the former NXT North American Champion throughout the segment.
It was previously reported that Sw3rve had reached an agreement with AEW and would show up in the first week of March. The former Hit Row leader was spotted at the AEW concert Saturday night.
Strickland previously revealed that he was interested in working in the Jacksonville-based promotion. He spoke about potentially showing up in AEW during a recent interview with Casual Conversations.
The former Isiah Scott is a veteran of the independent circuit and would be a valuable addition to AEW’s already-stacked roster. He was released from the WWE as part of the budget cuts announced by the company last year.
