Big E had to cross many hurdles over the years, during his time in WWE. After a solid run on NXT, he was called up to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. It seems Big E wished his WWE Title reign was longer as well.
At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Big E defended his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. To the shock of many, Brock Lesnar pinned Big E after hitting an F5 and won the match, thus becoming the WWE Champion at that time.
Many fans felt Big E’s first reign as the WWE Champion left much to be desired as they wanted better for him. Big E even previously admitted he was not really satisfied with his WWE Championship run.
While speaking with Z100’s Josh Martinez, Big E talked about his WWE Title reign and what he would have changed with his reign. Big E admitted that he wished his reign lasted longer.
“There’s several things I would do differently but again, like I said, my focus really is just on performing. I do the best I can. But, you know, I wish it would have lasted longer, I wish we would have had the opportunity to do some more dynamic things.”
Big E was originally supposed to be in the main event of WrestleMania 38 this year, but that is no longer the case as his singles run is effectively over. We will have to see whether WWE will have anything major planned for Big E in the future, as it seems unlikely at this point in time.
