Austin Theory had a memorable run in NXT where he was part of Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. He would eventually make his way to the main roster and his fortunes increased from there. It seems Theory reacted to his WrestleMania match.
Austin Theory has been engaged in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever since Survivor Series concluded last year. It also featured him getting slapped by Vince McMahon. Many fans believe Theory is on the cusp of greatness as well.
As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, it was confirmed that Austin Theory will be duking it out with Pat McAfee at the Showcase Of The Immortals next month.
Rumors suggested that Vince McMahon was going to square off against Pat McAfee, but due to him being 76 years old, it was not feasible. Following the announcement, Theory took to Twitter and reacted to his first-ever WrestleMania match.
“You heard what the boss said… I’m going to #WrestleMania dummy!,
Pat McAfee certainly has experience competing inside the squared circle thanks to his matches in NXT. It remains to be seen how Pat McAfee will fare against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 38.
