AEW’s roster is full of talented wrestlers, consisting of both veterans and the younger generation of talents. This includes Wardlow, who has been a force to be reckoned with since his debut in AEW back in 2020.

After his debut in AEW, Wardlow has always been paired up with MJF, as he is his bodyguard and enforcer. There is no doubt Wardlow has a lot of talent and for the past few months, the company has been teasing Wardlow eventually turning on MJF.

Wardlow also squared off against CM Punk in a singles match back in January of his year on AEW Dynamite. It was largely a one-sided affair but CM Punk managed to roll up Wardlow for the win.

While speaking to The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Wardlow talked about squaring off against The Second City Saint. Wardlow admitted that he never thought he would get to work with CM Punk and that it felt surreal to share the ring with Punk.

“Working with CM Punk has truly been surreal. I’ve said it before, you get in the business with your list of people you would love to work with, and CM Punk just didn’t exist on that list because that wasn’t ever an option. That was done and over, no possibility of that happening. So, for it to be real, man, just to work with CM Punk, something you never thought you’d be able to do. So, it is very, very cool.”

It is also likely Wardlow and MJF’s split will be coming very soon, as the company has been building towards a feud between the two in the future as well. It remains to be seen when Wardlow and MJF will feud with each other in the end.
